U. K. parcels under 5kg will be shipped via Royal Mail. Parcels above 5kg will be shipped via UPS.
International parcels will be shipped via Royal Mail, 1st class airmail unless the parcel is either very heavy or book is particularly valuable. These parcels will be shipped via UPS. Insurance can be provided at the buyer’s cost if desired.
All orders will be fully tracked.

Customs and Import duties
Customs and import duties remain the responsibility of the buyer.

Refunds and returns
If a book is not in stock, or is no longer available to order from the publisher, Â we will issue you a full refund immediately. If the book does not match the description, you are welcome to return it and will receive a full refund. Buyer pays return postage.

We accept payment by credit or debit card, Amex, or PayPal. Alternatively, payment by Bank transfer can be arranged. Contact us for details. Books remain the property of James A. Dickson Books until payment is made in full.

Throughout our stock, you may see certain abbreviations used in our descriptions. The most common are;Â
Lfpb: Large format paperback. Pb: paperback. Hb: hardback. D.w: dustwrapper or jacket. Illus.: illustrations. Ex. Lib.: ex-library, will have at least stamps, perhaps also plates. Bklt: booklet. Pam.: pamphlet. AEG: All edges gilt. Work copy only: Means tatty, poor condition. Text readable. Sold as is.
