Bound in a later full calf, re-backed. Edges worn and rubbed, corners bumped. Lacks clasps and General title page. New Testament title is enclosed within a decorative woodcut border. Apocrypha is present. The facing page and verso of the New Testament title bear extensive ink inscriptions, with a few other manuscript notes and some underlining throughout. Burn damage to Hh4, and small holes and tears, with slight loss, affecting A1, O7, R7, Y3, Bb8, Ee1, Hh5–7, Uu2, Ccc4, Mmm8, Xxx1, Zzz6 and Zzz10. A few closed tears and frayed edges, with light toning and scattered soiling. Bound at the front with a defective copy of the Book of Common Prayer, beginning at A3, with several leaves frayed and torn; and at the rear with Two Right Profitable and Fruitfull Concordances, or Large and Ample Tables Alphabeticall…, collected by R. F. H., London: Christopher Barker, [1581?]. The verso of the Concordance title is heavily inscribed; a closed cut affects D3–5, and M1–4, the final leaves, are lacking. The free endpapers are torn and becoming loose. Bookplate to the front pastedown.
